The Cabin
We have so much fun at the cabin as a family. I think we can all agree this was the best purchase ever!!! We love to play games, color, do crafts, watch movies, make camp fires, EAT, ride 4 wheelers, shoot guns, etc. And its so beautiful up there. We went up over conference weekend and we listened to Saturday morning conference on the radio. It was beautiful!!

Sadie, you've done it again!!!
This little dog has caused us so much trouble. First she cut Serges hand open, and was quarintened for two weeks. Then ate something bad and had trouble pooping for at least two weeks, and now she has cut her self. She cut the web on her back left foot and had to have stitches. She spent the night at the animal emergency hospital here in Layton. We took her at 10:00pm, she stayed the night and at 2:00am in the morning they stiched her foot. We picked her up in the morning at 8:00am and she came home with a foot that was bigger than her head, with a cone around her neck. She is so funny when she trys to go outside to go potty. She hits just about everything in her way. She's our puppy and we love her. From, Jeff

Surprise Visitors
Every Tuesday is "pancake Tuesday" at Grandma Bulls house. It was fun to surprise Sami, Lyza, Kelli and Brooklyn with a visit from Thomas and Nate. Amber and the boys came up for a quick visit and we kept it a secret from the little ones until pancake Tues. Boy were those girls excited!! They had so much fun playing together. Sami still asks every Tuesday, "Do you think Thomas and Nate will come?" These cousins love each other so much.

Sami's First Field Trip
Sami is now in kindergarten and loving it. She is doing so well and were so proud of her. I had the opportunity to go on her first field trip to a pumpkin patch. It was SOOOOO cold. They had a fun tractor ride and saw the actual farm and then they each got to pick a pumpkin. After they got to do a small maze, go down some slides and lots of other fun things. Oh to be a kid again and have fun all the time!!

August 25, 2008-1st day of school!
The kids all started school on Monday. I'm not going to lie, I was sure excited! They all start getting bored with summer, and that makes life...crazy! I'm sure the kids will have a great school year. Lots to look forward to!
Last weekend before school started, we went up to the cabin and played. We took out 2 4-wheelers and rode all over. The kids all had a great time. They always have so much fun at the cabin. We also love to take the shotgun and go shooting. We feel blessed to have these great family memories.
Happy 5th Birthday Sami!!
Sami turned 5 on August 15, 2008. Its hard to believe she will be going to kindergarten! She is a beautiful, smart and loving daughter. We had a birthday party for her and Serges family and my family were all there. It of coures was a "Hannah Montana" party! Sami loves Hannah Montana, all disney princesses & spongebob (who doesn't). She loves to jump & do flips on the tramp. She will begin tumbling & dance in another week. She also loves to sing. We feel so blessed to have Sami in our family!
Camping in the Uintah's
Every year we make a camping trip up to the Uintah's. We love it up there! Beautiful lakes, mountains, trees-the great outdoors!! Grandma & Grandpa Bull, Brittany, Danny & Kelli and our family were all there. We missed the Wadsworth family, they were not able to make it. We all had a great time. We brought our dog, Sadie with us. This was her first expertience camping. And she did very well.

Discovery Gateway
Brittany and I had an idea to take the kids to the zoo before she had her baby. Of course...it rained. So we park the car and then decide we don't want to be in the rain for 3 hours. So we turned around and went to the Discovery Gateway. The kids always have a great time there, so we knew it would be fun for them. They all had a great time.

24th of July in Spanish Fork
On the 24th of July, my kids and I, my mom, Grandma & Grandpa, and Steve, Shaundee, Lyza and Seth all went down to the parade in Spanish Fork. I believe this is one of the oldest traditions I remember. We used to come from California during this time and we always looked forward to this celebration. Sami and Lyza had so much fun watching the parade. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that there were random "princesses" walking down the street giving hugs and taking pictures with little girls. We all had a great time. After the parade we went to a park in Lehi and had lunch and the kids played. It was a big effort to do this, but the memories that were made will last forever.

It's A Girl!!
As if 4 girls weren't enough, Serge brought home a puppy for the kids today. And... it's a girl! She's a Lab/Vizsla mix and she is actually very cute. I'm just not ready for one more baby to take care of!! I would address her by name, but we don't have one yet. Some kids want Sadie others want Sunnie and Sami of course wants to name her Cindy, because "that is the most beautiful name ever"!! Our kids are getting older and have assured us that they will take care of the dog and mom won't have to do anything. Yea, Right!! I'm wondering how long that will last. Anyhow, we are sure happy with this dog, and think the kids will have lots of fun with her. Welcome little puppy to our crazy family!!!

Happy 4th of July!!
I think one of Serge's favorite holidays is the 4th of July. He has special patriotic music that he plays in the house and car. He also loves the Kaysville parade water fight! And of course this year we drove down to Provo, spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Lee, and then went to watch Amanda Dance and Miley Cyrus, The Blue Man Group, and some of the best fireworks ever!
We as a family love this country that we live in and are so grateful for the freedoms we have. I am so glad that Serge teaches our kids so many wonderful things about our country. We would like to thank all those who have served and are currently serving, we are forever grateful.
Stadium of Fire!
Amanda had another great opportunity to dance. Her studio was invited to dance in the stadium of fire dance group. She had lots of practices to get ready for it. Finally the big day was here. She had a practice on Wednesday night from 9-11:30pm. We then had to be back at the stadium Thursday from 6:30am-10:30pm!! Wow, what a long day. It was 117 degrees on the field where they were practicing (and where I was sitting). Some girls became overheated, Amanda and Shaylen were troopers!!
I'm sure this will be and experience she will never forget. She did a fantastic job and Serge and I were so proud of her. We enjoyed spending 4th of July at the stadium of fire. The girls were so excited because Miley Cyrus was performing there that night. It was a blast!!

Serving Grandpa and Grandma Anderson
Look at these good lookin' boys. Grandpa Lorin needed his deck stained and asked if Jeff and his friends would be willing to do it for him. Of course they said, "yes"! Well as luck would have it, the Beck family was in town and I asked if they would be interested in helping. Bright and early Tuesday morning Jeff and this 2 friends, Jordan and Tyler came to grandpa's to help. Just as they began the Beck boys showed up. Kevin, Tyler, Kyle, and Trevor. Grandpa and Grandma have a large deck and it only took these 7 boys 3 hours to stain the whole thing. I know this service was appreciated and I know the boys had a good time serving their grandparents!! Its so great to have such wonderful family members and friends. Thanks boys!!!

Our wonderful Sami!
Sami was very excited to start kindergarten and to get her shots! Well as luck would have it 2 days after she got her shots her arm swelled up and was red. Serge took her to the doctor and we found out that she got a staph infection from her shots. They gave her a big shot in her hip (she couldn't walk for 2 hours after) and within 2 days her arm was showing improvement. A week later she was outside while we were working in the yard and she got bit by something, were not sure what. The next morning at swim lessons we realized her lower arm was swollen to the size of a large egg. To make the story short, we made several trips to the doctor and one to the ER. Her arm had swelled from her shoulder to her hand about 3x its regular size. The doctors diagnosed her with cellulites and put an IV in her arm and for 4 days we gave her doses of medication thourgh the IV. Within a week her arm was almost back to normal. This gave us a real big scare, its never good when your kids are sick or having medical problems. She was very brave considering the situation. Samantha is such a special girl and we are so grateful that she had a speedy recovery.

May Madness!!!
The month of May was full for the Lee family. Jeff finished his soccer season and 8th grade, Amanda finsihed dance and 7th grade, Rachael finished dance and 4th grade, Sami graduated from preschool and tumbling and Brooklyn turned 1 and found her temper! Amanda also turned 13 years old. WOW!! My kids are growing up fast. I can remember when I was younger I couldn't wait for my kids to get older and be able to do all these things, and now I'm trying to slow down time so I can enjoy every moment I have with them. They are all great kids and I love them all very much.

Happy 1st Birthday Brooklyn
Its hard to believe that our baby is now 1 year old. Time flew by so quickly! She is such a sweet little girl and has brought so much joy to our family. She started walking rather early (8 months) and learned that she could climb on just about anything, even the small TV used to play XBox. She is a happy little girl and acts like she is so much older. I'm sure that has to do with the fact she has 3 older sisters. Sami and Brooklyn have so much fun being together. Brooklyn thinks Sami is so wonderful and follows her everywhere! I always thought I would be the mom that had a house full of boys, but we have a house full of girls and I love it. Happy Birthday Brooklyn!!!

Rachael on "Broadway"
We were real excited when Rachael decided to try out once again for the school play. The play this year was "Aristocats" and her part was a "soldier dog". We weren't real sure what part the soldier dog would have, but anything was going to be great!! Rachael did a fantastic job and we were so proud of her. It's scary to get up in front of a large audience and she was great. She had a great time and was so glad that she decided to participate in this play. Good job Rach!!

Our St.George Trip
Thanks to Amanda being on a competition dance team, we have a "mandatory" vacation every April in St. George. We look forward to this every year. Well, this year she danced in an "America" and "Hannah Montana" dance and did a fantastic job! Ryan & Amber & family, Grandma & Grandpa Anderson & Paul, Grandma & Grandpa Bull and Brittany & Danny & Kelli were all there. Lots of people, but we had lots of fun. We spent a lot of time at the park and the pool. And of course eating good food!!

Merry Christmas 2007!! We had a great Christmas and spent a lot of time with our families. Samantha enjoyed every aspect of the Christmas holiday. She is at the age when everything is so exciting. She informed me days after christmas that we forgot to leave cookies and milk out for Santa. Sorry Santa! We kicked off our holiday season by going to The Forgotten Carols which was absolutely wonderful! We also were able to go see the Temple Square lights, and hear our cousin Karli perform with her missionary choir. The kids all have fun delivering the neighbor goodies and buying each other little christmas presents. Christmas has and will always be a great season for celebration.
CALIFORNIA TRIP
On May 23, 2007 we welcomed Brooklyn Joyce into our family. She is such a joy in our lives!!
In August of 2007 we waisted no time and took a family trip to California to visit Scott and Larissa. We also went to Disneyland and Brooklyn was a champ!! We all had a fantastic time and yet again made wonderful family memories. These times spent together, as hectic as they may sometimes be, are so priceless. Our children are growing up so quickly and in no time we'll be thinking about missions and marriages. Time flies and I just hope we can cherish these times we have as a family!!!!
