Temple Square

As a family we have a couple Christmas Traditions we love. One of those is going to the "Forgotten Carols". To me this just starts the season out right. The other tradition we have is walking around Temple Square looking at the lights. This year we almost didn't make it, but of course mom made everyone go even though it was probably 10 degrees outside. I'm glad we went and made a memory, and had fun doing it.

Grease Lightening!

So, you know the old saying "monkey see, monkey do". Well Jeff had the great idea to put vaseline in his hair to "grease it", I blame it on the book he read, "The Outsiders". I personally thought he looked like Eddie Munster because he had it slicked back. Anyhow, a couple days later Brooklyn decided she should do the same thing. So she was "washing" her hair with vaseline. Not an easy thing to get out. Luckily my best friend and neighbor is a hair dresser. Baking soda is the trick, however, it was still very difficult to get all the way out. At that point, I was so grateful that Brooklyn was still bald(ish).

I just think Brooklyn is so dang cute!!! She is growing up way to fast!!!

Snow Day!!

It snowed just before Sami had school, so she wanted to play until her ride came. Of course she ended up getting cold and wanting hot chocolate. However, it was to late for that! The first couple of snowfalls are always the very best!!

So for Jeffrey's 15th birthday present we bought him a snowboarding pass to Wolf Mountain. We decided to take a trip before the weather turned bad and go get his pass. It was such a beautiful day and a beautiful drive up the canyon. He could hardly wait for it to snow. Over the Christmas break Jeff was able to go a couple of times. It works out well that some of his frinds had passes so we could carpool and also one of the boys in our ward had a pass there as well and he can drive, so Brandon and Jeff would drive up together. The only problem with that is the moms worry!! Also, Amanda went snowboarding 2 times and had a great time and Rachael had ski lessons from Grandpa Bull. She did pretty good. One day Grandpa, Greg, Jeff, Amanda, Rach & one of Jeffs friends went up together. She had an unfortunate accident...A large man fell on her in the "practice" area and bruised her leg really bad. The worst part about it was he didn't say sorry (it was his fault!!) and he called her a bad name. So, other than that and her big tumble down the mountain, I don't think we'll get Rach back up there for a while. At least she gave it a try!!!
I'm sure that was a memory for them all.

Getting Ready For Christmas...

Rachael and Samantha were so excited to help put up the kids tree. Brooklyn on the other hand was content to sit on the couch and watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse". Rach and Sami did a great job decorating, even though Brooklyn would re-decorate everyday. What a chore is is to have an 18 month during the holidays. They just love everything so much, however I felt like all I said was "that's mommys, don't touch". Brook didn't touch my tree for the first 3 weeks, however she made up for lost time in the end by breaking a handful of ornaments. Merry Christmas!!
