24th of July in Spanish Fork

On the 24th of July, my kids and I, my mom, Grandma & Grandpa, and Steve, Shaundee, Lyza and Seth all went down to the parade in Spanish Fork. I believe this is one of the oldest traditions I remember. We used to come from California during this time and we always looked forward to this celebration. Sami and Lyza had so much fun watching the parade. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that there were random "princesses" walking down the street giving hugs and taking pictures with little girls. We all had a great time. After the parade we went to a park in Lehi and had lunch and the kids played. It was a big effort to do this, but the memories that were made will last forever.

It's A Girl!!

As if 4 girls weren't enough, Serge brought home a puppy for the kids today. And... it's a girl! She's a Lab/Vizsla mix and she is actually very cute. I'm just not ready for one more baby to take care of!! I would address her by name, but we don't have one yet. Some kids want Sadie others want Sunnie and Sami of course wants to name her Cindy, because "that is the most beautiful name ever"!! Our kids are getting older and have assured us that they will take care of the dog and mom won't have to do anything. Yea, Right!! I'm wondering how long that will last. Anyhow, we are sure happy with this dog, and think the kids will have lots of fun with her. Welcome little puppy to our crazy family!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

I think one of Serge's favorite holidays is the 4th of July. He has special patriotic music that he plays in the house and car. He also loves the Kaysville parade water fight! And of course this year we drove down to Provo, spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Lee, and then went to watch Amanda Dance and Miley Cyrus, The Blue Man Group, and some of the best fireworks ever!

We as a family love this country that we live in and are so grateful for the freedoms we have. I am so glad that Serge teaches our kids so many wonderful things about our country. We would like to thank all those who have served and are currently serving, we are forever grateful.

Stadium of Fire!

Amanda had another great opportunity to dance. Her studio was invited to dance in the stadium of fire dance group. She had lots of practices to get ready for it. Finally the big day was here. She had a practice on Wednesday night from 9-11:30pm. We then had to be back at the stadium Thursday from 6:30am-10:30pm!! Wow, what a long day. It was 117 degrees on the field where they were practicing (and where I was sitting). Some girls became overheated, Amanda and Shaylen were troopers!!

I'm sure this will be and experience she will never forget. She did a fantastic job and Serge and I were so proud of her. We enjoyed spending 4th of July at the stadium of fire. The girls were so excited because Miley Cyrus was performing there that night. It was a blast!!

Serving Grandpa and Grandma Anderson

Look at these good lookin' boys. Grandpa Lorin needed his deck stained and asked if Jeff and his friends would be willing to do it for him. Of course they said, "yes"! Well as luck would have it, the Beck family was in town and I asked if they would be interested in helping. Bright and early Tuesday morning Jeff and this 2 friends, Jordan and Tyler came to grandpa's to help. Just as they began the Beck boys showed up. Kevin, Tyler, Kyle, and Trevor. Grandpa and Grandma have a large deck and it only took these 7 boys 3 hours to stain the whole thing. I know this service was appreciated and I know the boys had a good time serving their grandparents!! Its so great to have such wonderful family members and friends. Thanks boys!!!
